T8N Christmas Light Tour | St. Albert Grassroots Initiatve
Join the Facebook group linked below and you’ll find a variety of locations in St. Albert that have beautiful lights on display. The group’s mission is to spread extra cheer this holiday season by providing the most up-to-date information on where to spot beautiful residential light displays.
Central Park Light-Up | City of Spruce Grove
Visit the City of Spruce Grove’s website for a special update from the mayor and city councillors including a countdown video of the lights turning on. You can feel Parkland County’s community spirit shining through!
Downtown Holiday Light Up | Churchill Square
New this year, the Downtown Business Association has added more light installations to Churchill Square, in addition to the decades-old tradition of the Christmas tree. Local artists have set up these new displays and they are worth going to see with your family cohort. Go walk through until January 8, 2021.

Walk through the Alberta Legislature Lights
A family-favourite each year is walking through the lights at the Legislature grounds. They are officially lit for the season and create a wonderful walking ambiance.

Segway Tour of the Legislature | River Valley Adventure Co
Explore Edmonton has teamed up with River Valley Adventure Co. to offer segway tours of the legislature lights. Click on their website for more information, as COVID measures and restrictions may affect the offering of these tours.

Christmas at Bobs | Local Light Display
A family favorite light display in Edmonton is Christmas at Bobs. The lights will be on from December 1 until January 8, 2021, with children and families welcome! There is no cost to visiting, but they accept donations for those that can give. Drive to 7421 108 Street in Edmonton to check it out.
Candy Cane Lane | An Annual Tradition
Visit the famous Candy Cane Lane at 9945 148 Street. Candy Cane Lane features homes in central west Edmonton, all participating in decorating their residences for the season and lighting up the whole street. The lights start December 11! Follow Candy Cane Lane’s social media accounts for the most up-to-date information.

Online Activities | Festival of Trees
The annual Festival of Trees, in support of the University Hospital Foundation, is taking their charitable festive gala online this year! They’ve created online Christmas experiences for all ages, including a 50/50 draw on December 3, 10, and 17 as well as story time with Mrs. Claus until December 20.
Winter Wonder Forest | Rainbow Valley Campground
Your kids will adore exploring the Winter Wonder Forest. It runs 4:30pm – 10:30pm nightly from November 27 until January 3, 2021. 115,000 square feet of campground is transformed into a beautiful drive-through light display. They are offering a 100% contact-free event to keep everyone safe this Christmas, including driving up to Santa and musical performances. Car passes range in price and are available online.

Leduc County Lights | Leduc West Antique Society
Head out to Leduc to enjoy their annual lights display for only $2 per person, running December 1 until January 3, 2021. This is put on by Kin Canada and the Kinsmen Club of Leduc. Dress your kids for country weather, bring your own hot chocolate and take in the lights! Take a small donation for the Leduc Food Bank. Buy your tickets online!
Zoominescence | Edmonton Valley Zoo
Visit the Edmonton Valley Zoo Thursdays through Sundays for Zoominescence. This event runs 3:30pm – 9:30pm from November 26 – January 3, 2020. You’ll love walking through the beautiful tunnels of lights and can properly and safely distance from other families and kids. Please ensure to check in on their website if any services may have changed due to new restrictions. Adult $14.95, Child 2 – 12 $10.50 (Under 2 free)

Magic of Lights | Castrol Raceway
A local Edmonton and Nisku favorite – take in the incredible light display at the Castrol Raceway from 5pm – 10pm in the comfort of your vehicle. The magic will be on from November 20 to January 2, 2020. A portion of proceeds goes towards 630 CHED Santas Anonymous. A family car pass ranges from $25 – $45
